Last night I spent some time looking for Da Vinci classic series brushes (blue handle) recommended by Danillo Cartacci in his book as an excellent product to use with acrylics.

All I found was three types of brushes with a blue handle but none of the series was called classic.

Does any one of you know what kind of brushes is Danillo talking about? Definately I would like to give them a try.

I have some Da Vinci brushes. They are very good and a bit cheaper than W&N.
Don´t know if they are those recomended by Cartacci but the handle is black, the letters:
"Da Vinci-MAESTRO Tobolsky-kolinsky 10 Germany".

The daVinci Maestro series are good brushes Piotrec but there are a number of other quality brands to pick from if you have difficulty in locating them, or if the price is too steep.

Jaume Ortiz used/uses Escoda and generally they're a good bit cheaper than Series 7, Maestro or the Raphaël equivalent.

For anyone on the American side of the Atlantic, Blick's Master series brushes are made for them in Spain by Escoda.
