Very nice indeed Gerard ,Great flesh tones ,you will need to buy a bench drill though so you can drill a perpendicular hole on your angled bases ;) Just funning :)

I know, I drive the black&decker better when drunk:singing: ..but it wasn't that night
Now I'm trying to repair the mess by simulating a layer of desert sand on the top side of the base. Think it may look interesting

Hi!!
Just a little experiment here:
Since I've been painting only busts for quite some time, now I miss a little the fun of making groundwork . So I said to myself, why not on a bust base?? (Also to hide my crappy work when drilling the hole on the base, as Ron noticed:ROFLMAO:)
Although it looks better in live (in the photo has lost some sand grain detail), I still don't know if it has been a good idea or perhaps a "groundworked" bust will always look weird..??
Any opinion?
(Painting process not finished yet)

Hello Gerard, I like it. I think it works with this DAK soldier, and compliments your nameplate. If this were a winter bust, snow would look only like a white base. Nice idea Gerard. Regards, SG:)(y)
