Here's an update to the painting so far.

I'm pretty much satisfied with the painting on the front - with the exception of a few conspicuous brush strokes that need some delicate attention. The colors on the kit are loosely blocked in for a preliminary assessment of colors before the render of values and tones. I'm not to sure if the green on the mess tin is working and I'm contemplating changing it to field drab.
