Hi!

This is my first posting here on Planetfigure so let´s see what
you guys think of this figure.

It is a 70mm figure from Latorre models and it is painted in Vallejo
acrylics and Humrol.
Some details was painted using Winsor newton oilcolor.

It would be nice to hear your opinions about my figure.

Cheers
Markus

Hi Markus
Welcome to the "mad house"!!
Like your figure it is simply done without too much colour, as figures of this period would have been
Excellent start, Whats next on your bench?

Cheers

Hi Markus

Welcome to the pF! Great paintjob, simply but awesome. I really like tha chain mail colour. Could you share your mixes?

Hi Markus,

This is very nice. Welcome to the Planet. I think you dod on excellent job on the cloak. Can you describe the colors you used?

Hi again!
And thank you very much for your kind words.
I´ll try to explain how I painted the cloak and the ringmail.
For the cloak I´ve used Vallejo acrylics and the basecoat is
from their game color range and it´s name was dark fleshtone#72044
(don´t get confused about the name it is actually a darkred color
First I blend this color with a dark brown shade to make the base.
After that I painted all the highlights withthis color mixed with different
lighter fleshtones#70955 and white #70951 for the last highlights.
The darkest shadows was painted with a mix of burnt umber 370941 and
black #70950.
It is not so easy to explain how the cloak is painted but I hope you understand.

The ringmail was polished with my Dremel tool and after that all the metal-
parts was covered with theTamiya acrylicpaint smoke and the final shadows was painted with ordinary oilcolor.

Anders: tjena kul att snacka med dig på Euromilitaire förra året, vi ses och hörs :)

And again thanks to all of you for your kind words; very inspiring.

Nice job, Makus. A lovely rendition of a great figure. I like the shield and agree with othrs that your use of primary colors is realistic and effective. I also like the starkness of the base, including the lonely bush!

Welcome to pF - lots of great people and talent here to learn from!

Ha det så bra,

Kyle
