Hi Guys

We have about finished our second American Civil War range 70mm figure. So I thought I would post a sneak peek!!!!

This time its the 5th New York Duryee's Zouave

Again we have had a lot of advice from US re-enactors and I would like to thank Tim Huebner company C 5th NYVI for all his advice and help with the Zouave soldier.

This models photo etch parts will be a rifle sling,cartridge box plate,belt buckle and bayonet.
This figure will NOT contain a ramrod for the rifle.

Thank you all for your comments and questions

I will also try and answer a few questions...

We have just sent this figure to the digital printers so we hope to release him in just over a month. The ramrod on the rifle is not included as its so thin and we would have had to over scale it to put it in production. The best thing we have found to be in scale and and durable enough for for a figure is 0.30/0.35 music wire. Why in 70mm scale for our figures? we have always made 70mm figures so we keep to the scale we like.

Greetings all!

Lest Rin's excellent advice be taken amiss, that's 0.30-0.35mm! If this was understood, my apologies.

The closest readily available item would be K&S Engineering's o.o15in. music wire (stock #498). As to the loading tip, I would recommend a piece of resin or plastic, shaped and reduced to size.

For the ramrod try brass or nickel rod. Albion Alloys sell brass in 0.3 or 0.4 mm diameters and a nickel silver at 0.33mm through their retailers.

This is a great figure and I think once it's painted will be awesome.
