Has been a while since I posted anything but I felt the need to sculpt something again and finish it on my own.

No heroic pose this time, just a German officer on the East front inspecting the fine Moisin Nagant ( once provided by Steve Readdie) and wondering if this thing will once blow his brains out there.

He will have boots, the field jacket but I also phantasize about a nice camo smock, since I really feel like painting too.

all the best,

René

Nice start but I think the proportions are a little off. His head looks a bit too big to me. Maybe it's an optical illusion because the armature is so slim.

Hi René,

Nice to see that you have started another figure.
Please allow me a few critical remarks (I hope constructive):

1. IMHO the pose has some issues, especially seen from the side. The line from heels to pelvis looks too straight. The lower leg should tilt slightly forward, the upper leg almost straight up, and then his back should compensate the forward leaning, to keep balance, following a slight S-curve.

2. The wide stance may be cool but to me it doesn't work here. The guy is curiously investigating the weapon and relaxed legs, with feet closer together would look more natural to me. It indeed looks like he is lifting weights now.

I hope this is of any help.

Cheers,
Adrian

This is looking fantastic, René! I do like his pose, that looks like a good natural stance with the legs. It might be me, but does his waist seem to look a little skinny compared to his hips area?

Keep up the great work!

Hello René,

this is a great project. I like your sbs pictures. Please note the title is wrong. "Daß" has other meaning as "das".
By the way I'm waiting your next posts. ;-)

cheers,
Bernhard
