debonding epoxy

It may depend on how well the parts were joined initially...if you keyed the surfaces then the bond will be very strong and difficult to break.
Anyway, you can try leaving in very hot water for half hour or more...also when a model is stripped of paint using oven cleaner...this can sometimes leave the joints very suspect and easy to part were epoxy has been used...

Let us know how you get on...

All the best..Roy.

I believe hospitals use a debonding solution when glues such as crazy glue are used in the wrong places  Dumb suggestion but maybe next time you see your doctor, he/she can tell you what it is.

If it is a metal figure you could try warming it up with a hair dryer generally in order to soften the epoxy it will need to be really warm bordering on hot keep in mind parts need to be warmed right thru. Probably best to warm and let sit a couple of minutes and try to gently lever or pry parts apart.

Best of Luck

I'm guessing that as you have used epoxy to join , it's probably a white metal kit, so boiling water will be fine...you only need to worry about how hot it gets for your fingers when you handle it.
If it's resin, and the parts are fairly thick, there should still be no problems, although taking into account the different resins that are available, if you can try it on a scrap part first, it would be better to be safe than sorry.

All the best...Roy.
