I'm guessing that as you have used epoxy to join , it's probably a white metal kit, so boiling water will be fine...you only need to worry about how hot it gets for your fingers when you handle it.
If it's resin, and the parts are fairly thick, there should still be no problems, although taking into account the different resins that are available, if you can try it on a scrap part first, it would be better to be safe than sorry.
