Inspired by Ulrichs "Crooks of London" I bought four Blacksmith Miniature figures to make a small Dickens Style diorama/vignette. Here's a snapshot of the first figure and I have to say these are the best/sharped/detailed casted (54 mm ) figures I have EVER seen and worked on. A joy to paint !!!

Wonderful! I've been leaning towards these minis; probably going to bite sometime later.

Henk, I say...buy them ( Wendy's Miniatures here in Holland sells them now !! ) They are truly wonderfull and offer great opportunities for little vignettes etc. Just a tip....they do NOT come with a base ( although their pictures might suggest they do ... )

Hi Hans

That's a fun piece to paint up , like the ways it done with the rat/ mouse looking over at the cheese

Nice painting from your bench as well

What's the next one for the brush ?

Happy benchtime

Stay safe

Great. That figure is laying here too, but now I will wait and see what you will make. And I must finish my 90 mm dwarf before

Next in line is the Kobolt, followed by the Keykeeper and of course the Crooks of London.
When all are done it's time for the scene.....a little street, bit like this..

Change of plan.....after taking a good look at the Dickens House only one conclusion was right about the setting as well the house. Come up with a new idea....so bye bye house....hellow new setting.
It will be three layers. On top....the police station with the Kobolt, the Bulldog and his guide ( not painted yet ).
in the middle.....the cellars with the keykeeper
And under the celler is..the sewer...with the mouse (or rat ) figure... now..that made sence ( to me .... ;) ).
Here's some progress....
