No figures for me this Christmas. Not painting enough to warrant any more.....so the Mrs says. However, my beautiful wife did buy me a 24" High Def monitor / screen. In the photo below I have a movie on the right new screen and can have my reference for whatever I am painting on the left screen. Sure does end alot of opening and closing files. I love this second functional screen.

You can see the 2 Mountain Man busts I fleshed out today and in one photo you can see the 200mm full figure Mountain man that I have in progress. I thought the day would never come.....I am backed up with Mountain Man figures and busts to paint.......lol.

What a tidy looking and also very well stocked looking work space you have, Guy. Looks like a great spot to spend lots of time.

And I did not get any new kits from Santa either, but have had something even more valuable as it turns out.........time to do a little overdue assembly and painting. (y)

Mermaid from KitKong´s Model Mansion, 1/8th or 1/6th scale (size of Merfolk is disputed - some people even refusing to believe they exist!).

2 x Stygimoloch from Cretaceaous Creations of America, roughly 1/5th scale (estimated adult size of a little over 3 metres, if Stygimoloch is not in fact an immature stage of Pachycephalosaurus).

Mr Reid's 75mm Seaforth Highlander WW1, Mr Courry's 17 Lancer bust and the Vietnam Airmobile bust. (The elves are still knocking that one out, so it will be worth the wait!)

A Kindle with loads of preloaded books. Loads of unusual beers and the starting of a decent homebrew kit (thanks to Roger / Billyturnip for advice)
Absolutely no models
Cheers

Sounds like a good haul there Del. I got a Kindle for my birthday back in November and although sceptical at first I love it. My wife gave me some money for Christmas to download some more books before coming to sea.

And beer (y), I'm pleased to hear you've made a start on brewing your own. What have you got on the go?

all equipment pretty much ready. I'm going for an IPA, looking at the recipe suspect it might turn out a bit hoppy and not as bitter as I like it. I'll eventually get around to building something to regulate the hop additions so Iget a bitter finish.
Cheers

Experimenting to get the right flavour is all part of the fun Del. 5 gallons in the style of a Belgian triple was one of my better ones.
Shame I'm still not based at Faslane or I'd be popping in for a sample. :D

Roger.

Roger Popping in for a sample would not be a good idea. The last visitor round Del's has never been seen since! I will let you know if he brews a good brew as he may just let us sip some of this strange brew!

As for Christmas, a few days ago I stopped believing in Santa! Christmas morning and every day since I have looked under the tree but in vain, nothing.
