Hi everyone,

After the summer break, back at the brush.
I gave it a go at the Dragon Kriegsmarine dudes during Dieppe assault. I pimped the little fellows with Hornet Heads (What else...), and gas patch MG, ammo belts and accessories, plus some scratch and sculpt. Very happy with the MG gunner, less with the loader. Still missing the officer.
all acrylic, Vallejo and AK.
Comments, critics whatever welcomed.
Julien
Ps: it's a struggle to upload correct pictures on PF...if not just pictures actually......

Very nice, Hornet heads are really a boost for Dragon and the like, this fella is looking good some really great detail.

Cheers Simon

Thank you guys ! yes it is 1/35, and for a 25 years old kits, it is very decent.
I used a bit of putty here and there to fill some mold issues and add details, some Tamiya tape for the belts, scrapped the gas mask lace around the torso, and I carved out the details with a sharp tool. I really love enhancing those oldies but goodies figures.
I found that painting very dark blue uniforms being quite a challenge, as the highlights can easily render too much contraste too.
I'll try to put pictures of the other old fellow carrrying ammos

Have fun
J

Wow it's hard to believe some of these kits are that old but yeah they are, very versatile and great for dioramas.

Cheers Simon
