For various reasons the first thing I've painted since October. A straight out of the box classic Hornet 1/35 Dispatch rider all done in acrylics, the 30 Corp flash are from Bronco and when Im brave enough I'll build the bike to finish this guy off.

Thanks for looking.

Looks great Paul. De details really stand out.
I started painting with acrylics just a few days ago. I keep your pictures for reference. Can you tell me how you did the face?

RJ

Ah, another "razor"! Sitting back, enjoying and marvelling - again - at your brushwork. I've just enlarged your dispatch rider to the max, and yet no brushstroke out of place, it all looks so convincing and realistic.

Nice work, the highlight is the leather jacket. What kind of technique did you adopt in this regard? Compliments

Thanks

face was done in my normal way. Sand brown base followed by sand brown/salmon rose + light flesh to highlight. Base plus scarlet for shadows. I often add purple for the deepest shows and a glaze in GW Carroburg red wash. Once I’ve got base and the basic highlights done it’s more tinting the colours rather than actually painting.
Hope this of some use .

I try to keep leather items smooth not with texture like the trousers, other than that I like to use GW paints when I do leather.

A big Thanks to all.

Dr Bison you are too generous as always.
