Hi!

I made some new figures. They are 3-4cm tall and they are my first "small" figures. They are all from the "DONJON" comic. I will paint them the next days.
Comments and constructive critics are welcome (as always).

Could somebody please write something?! :-( I would like to hear something about them...or are they too bad for a comment ;-)

Please don't take lack of response as a sign of something wrong with your work. I myself am at a loss as I have never seen the originals and have nothing to compare. You will get more responses. Good luck--Steve

Hi Lennart!

Like Steve said don't take the lack of quick responses as a bad sign.

To be honest when I first viewed them, I saw some REALLY crude sculpture. But this is because I'm not familier with "DONJON" comic characters. Perhaps if you post some pictures of the subjects that inspired you then we can make proper comments.

Cheerio,

Jason

Hi,
Yes the figures look crude because the comic is drawn crude. It's a special style that parodys many fantasy comics/films and even video games. In france you can find these comics in every book or comic shop or even in every bigger supermarket. In germany there aren't so famous. You can find them there only in comic shops.

Lennart,

I see the likeness. The character with the "hook like" weapons is neat.

I have some questions-Why such a small scale? Will they be some sort of game piece or small vignette? What did you use for an armature? What type of putty do you use?

I'd like to see that tall character...What is he?!...In a larger scale. Maybe in 54mm? These are interesting pieces and I hope to see them painted soon.

Keep up the good!

Jason

Jason,

the tall character, a undead cat, is also my favourite. It's made in magic sculp. They are so small because there are already DONJON figures in that scale: http://www.hazgaard.com/pages/cataloguedonjonpag.html

I used a needle for the armature. Maybe I will make another character in 54mm, this is a nice idea. I will match these three figures in a small vignette. Maybe I will buy one or two figures if I'll visit france this summer and add them to the vignette.
Thank you for your interest.

Lennart
