The BBC did ban this episode from re-runs but later (after John Cleese publicly blasted them for being ignorant and gutless) did include it with a preview "warning".
Interestingly it was not the Hitler/WW2 scenes that they were concerned about, it was an innocuous side discussion between Basil and the Major about the all conquering West Indian cricket team. Some currently non politically correct references that they now cut out despite adding the audience warning.

I heard that the the whole TV show was banned in Norway or Sweden, I don't remember exactly which country, back in the days.
