I go with Martin on this. It's probably nearer in scale to these Orkney Yoles that have direct links to early Nordic boat building techniques.

So with that in mind my only criticism is the over heavy and misaligned graining on the wood, the Viking boatbuilders were as far as anyone knows masters of their craft.
Easily fixed, although we shouldn't have to.

Looks clunky and not as crisp or elegant as the resin 70mm that Cool Mini or Not was selling a while back. (Ref, Mark S photo in his post above) I have that one and it was a joy to work on and paint.

As for ship scale, there were several sizes of ship, so that doesn't bother me and in a following sea in the North Sea...even an aircraft carrier isn't big enough.
