Another winner by Carl Reid. A fabulous figure and a must have. Painting the drum will most certainly be a challenge as will the drummer lace.

Hi all,
I know this is an old post, but as well as painting figures I enjoy metal detecting. I found this button of the 44th E. Essex Rgt on an E. Yorkshire farmers field recently. Also, I was born in Essex which makes this button a super find for me.
I believe the 44th went to the U.S taking part in the war of 1812

Hi Glenn

Great to see you posting , that’s a great find , wonder what the story is as to how it got there ?

Thanks for sharing

Looking forward to seeing more

Have fun @ the bench

Thanks Nap, wish I knew. Another detecting mystery. I'm now needing to purchase a 44th figure to display with the button.

This is another classic piece of sculpting from Carl.
Great character in the face, and I'm guessing it will paint up nicely.
