Greetings,
The drum is in the middle of painting so as to do the difficult bits first. It is posed with the bust to give an idea how it looks so far.I dont know if the colours are too bright as they might have been freshly painted.Old Antique drums of this period seem to have muted colours due to age.Comments welcome.
Andy

Hello Andy,Great to see this guy in the painting stage. The drum is looking excellent.I have just moved into a new house with family and have only got the internet back up and running today after 7 weeks, I have missed going on Planet Figure .Look forward to see the next stage of painting on this guy.
Kind regards,John

Andy, excellent painting and a very neat job of the drum, I think at the moment the black makes it jump out and appear too bright, however by the time you've painted the red rims and the rope cords it'll be perfect.
Following. (y)

Cheers Ken

Great to see you up and about John, talk soon. Les

Looks good - for the life of me, I cant remeber last time I saw any band that showed up with instruments dirty/ tarnished, and drums faded; everything tends to look bright, sometimes a bit careworn, still cared for though.

Good work, and the colours on the drum will help contrast the muted uniform colours, IMO.

Cheers

Really liking this one mate, he caught my eye from the very beginning and is growing on me more and more.

All the best

Steve
