Hi to all ,
Pathos Miniatures have established themselves as a company under the direction of a PF member namely Christos Apostolopoulos for quality products and it seems that Christos is a bit of a builder so following on from the last scenery release from Pathos the French Cafe which I reviewed here:

As with the French Cafe the parts were received in a overall clear plastic bag with the parts being put in separate bags according to the size .
Parts consist of the 3 sides of the dwelling , the roof section , a base ...see pictures below.
A section of guttering ,water barrel, a cartwheel, and 5 farming implements/tools

We also have a card insert with a colour picture of Ernesto's painting (with groundwork added)
The finished model gives us 3 sides , one end , the facing piece and a back piece with an angled roof
Fit is very clean indeed with the edges butting together with no edge not lining up , the inside edges are angled for this purpose prep needed on the main building parts consisted of sanding the edges of the base very slightly and that is it .
The back piece has no planking detail on it with the inside edges being worked at an angle .
The front piece is packed full of great surface work and window details including the glass in very thin resin , you could if you wish remove this or some of this to represent broken glass , the window surround is sharply sculpted and cast the window inset into the space the surround has an angled top with a nice bit of detail a diamond , the lower edges again show nice working of the design.
Planks are not all the same size , some have been shown split , at the bottom we have a damaged area ...the ravages of time and damp no doubt.
The end piece is again planked and again shows really nice surface details , the inside edges are angled to fit together without any gaps .
All pieces fit on top of the angled raised area on the base , I suggest using blu tac against the lower edges to keep pieces in place while you are putting the 3 together.

The roof again has the really good sculpting of details the roof is large tiles with the underside being planked , , all areas show very clean and sharp sculpting brought out by the skilled casting , fit onto the 3 edges is good and very clean in appearance .

The base has the raised house base/floor set into the back edge ready for the walls themselves , the base is smoothly shaped and we see slight surface texture so you could simply drybrush this or as in the box art really go to town or should that be country by using commercial groundwork add on's.
The additional pieces include a guttering which is nicely worked and obviously fits at the roof lower edge , a bit of sanding on the top of the down pipe , although we do not have the actual main pipe but easily added using plastic rod or something similar
We are also given a water barrel which needs only the removal of a tiny plug on the lower edge , this item is seen virtually on every farm and a very useful addition , the planking on the barrel is finely done as is the top which rests slightly overlapping , a handle is worked into the top.
We also have a cartwheel , after removing the flashing inbetween the spokes you have another nice bit of clutter on the base , adding interest , the wheel shows the metal rim well and looks good ...who knows we may see some actual carts from Pathos .
Farming implements are also in the pack these are 2 rakes , one with made of wood the other with a metal top , both need flashing removed and look the part leant against the building.
Then we have a hand scythe and a billhook, you will need to remove the flashing on these , small and delicately done and nice additions to the pack .Lastly we have a plough sometimes worked by hand mostly with a horse of oxen , really nice look to this piece., something that was the lifeline to the farmer .
Final Thoughts
Its good to see another addition to the range , it will be welcome indeed although the release say Eastern Front this piece will find many uses and periods , its also good to see a company providing different subjects away from but adding to figures when used or perhaps used on their own either way you will have a really nice and very well sculpted and cast piece(s) of resin.

Thanks to Pathos for the Review model
......and of course to you all for looking in
