I have found the only reliable vendor on Ebay is Steve Kirtles, skminiatures, for figures. He offers a great service.

Steve's service is invariably excellent, but to be fair I've also bought figures off many eBay sellers over the years with no issues at all. I've sold a few on there myself as well.

The recasters are generally easy to spot and easy to avoid.

Is it that the eBay link at the top of the page goes directly to a recaster's eBay page or auction, or, is it just that the link returns the search results for "miniature figures", and those results happen to include auctions from known recasters?

If it's the former, sure, it's simple enough to remove the link. If it's the latter, I'm not sure how we'd prevent a search from returning recasters' auctions, unless whoever set up the search might edit it to exclude those eBay sellers by name.

But there's a broader question-do we really need to have a link to an eBay search and an Amazon search on keywords "miniature figures"? Are those links really necessary? What benefit do they provide the forum? Anyone who wants to can go to his own eBay and Amazon accounts, or open such accounts, and run his own searches.

It doesn't really seem that having the links provides any additional value to the forum, and just makes more work for the admins, minor work though it might seem.

I think it might be better just to remove 'em altogether.

Prost!
