Edward "The Black Prince" 1330 - 1376 AD

The better part of a month was spent on this 75mm metal figure from Pegaso and I really enjoyed my time with it. Some prep work had to be done so I was eager to get started with the painting.

Thanks Simon. Indeed, most I saw online used the head option with the great helm and lion, but I really liked the mustache on the exposed face here, just like on his burial effigy. Besides, I already have one with the lion (only in 1/72 by Zvezda, but still)

Well I use AV acrylics and rarely oil washes so the process is much quicker but with their own cons. Anyway, I saw your Pegaso knights and they're absolutely fabulous.

Thank you. Yes, I used paints from the Vallejo "Liquid Gold" range. They're a bit tricky to use, can only be thinned with alcohol and will wreak havoc on your brushes but I've yet to find a decent alternative with a similar rich finish that don't require brown underpainting and several layers.
