Is anyone else having trouble accessing the El Greco website?

My browser (Chrome) has decided that it's a bit dodgy and blocks access. I've reset the permissions and checked that it's not being blocked by any anti-virus software, but it still blocks it . . . .PITA computers :arghh:

I have never been able to see their site. They actively block access from certain countries, so if you're travelling that may be the issue but if you're in the UK you should be fine.

Hi Leggy

Nice to see you here mate ......just tried on my iPad ...no issues here

Sorry can't be more helpful hope you can sort it

You could email of ring them

No issue here either from London.

Might need to clear your cookies and cashe. Sometimes you get a conflict.

Hello,

Sorry to hear this - you're the second UK customer who has said this. However as such we have no server downtime, etc and we have been receiving orders regularly over yesterday and today.

Can you please drop us an email with a screenshot of the error you are getting from Chrome so that we can forward it to the domain administrators?

As Steve suggested, you may need to clear the cache and cookies, which might also cause an issue at times.

Many thanks
Celine

Thanks Celine - I'll try re-clearing the cache to see if that helps and if not I'll take a pic and email it over.
Cheers
Paul

ps - Not after anything in particular at the moment, but like to browse and see what's coming up . . . :)

Hi, Paul,
Yes, it's me who's had the same problem.....Celine tried her best to help me round it but to no avail. I'm now at a loss as to next steps. Not being very tecchy
puts me at a disadvantage (my wife, too!). I know this laptop is showing its age a bit, but it generally functions OK. I've had no problem with any other websites.
Of course, this is no consolation to you . I suppose we'll have to see if it gets resolved eventually.

Cheers,
Alan

Sometimes things like this can be caused by your wifi router. I get blocked from MDP on my wifi but can access using mobile data.

We have advised Alan to contact the internet service provider too, to see if there are any problems at their end.
In the meantime, please do send us screenshots of the errors you are getting so we forward them to our domain administators. Thank you.

Try a different browser as Chrome has some additional check in it, mainly to do with SSL certificates, which MS Edge and Foxfire don't use.

This may resolve your issues.

Update: I can now access Elgreco's website by going against every tenet I hold dear.......joined Facebook! So for the foreseeable future, I shall use this method for ordering
from them. I don't know why it works, as Celine says, it directs you straight to the website (she's at a loss, too), but it does work.
And suddenly, I've got a million 'friends ':cool: I have no idea who they are, so they'd better not expect birthday or Christmas cards!

Alan

Further update: Just clicked website on my favourites toolbar, and El Greco's website came back without any bother......presumably the problem has been solved.
Huzza !

Well that's weird - Mines started to work again too :p Glad C & M are now all sorted again and I can see what's coming up . . . .
Still this little thread kept me entertained for a wee while when I probably should have been doing other stuff

I guess that last expression is because she is not too happy you can order new toys again....

Glad it's all sorted as we are still not sure what has happened. Just to advise that your bookmark should be set to:
https://www.elgrecominiatures.co.uk/
https://www.elgrecominiatures.co.uk/
It is important that it is HTTPS:// (not http://) - that shows that it is a secure site (there would also be a padlock in the browser address bar.
Have a happy weekend.
