Thanks for the kind words Edson and Roc. As far as being organized, I am not sure about that. With having about a dozen figures in progress at once, it pays to be somewhat organized in order to find all the parts for the right kit.

I have finished the bowcase and quiver and attached them to the Mongol. He is just sitting on the peg that will fasten him. The next part is the sword and finally the groundwork with snow.

GREAT JOB,Guy,I really love the way the figure turned out so far (y) (y) !! BTW,have you decided to have the horse in the vignette after all ? Just wondering since the scene is almost done.Cheers.

Thanks Roc,
I thought I would try this technique out on the bow and arrow case first. I am going to do the same technique on an Indian horse next.

It has taken longer to do the groundwork than it did to paint the figure. I have a few touch-ups on the figure and then will epoxy the peg and fasten the Mongol to the base. Any comments or questions are always welcome.

Thanks Johan, the groundwork can often tell a story and combined with the figure have a much more realistic appearence. I have depicted young Ghengis Khan in his teenage years, before he became the great Khan.

He is complete now and finished. It is quite an enjoyment to see one finally be "finished"
