This one is a late 19th-early 20th century railway steam locomotive driver, also in 1/19th scale. He was inspired by a couple of pictures of a locomotive driver found in my collection though unfortunately I don't recall the exact railway it was the pictures are from, though it was an industrial line hauling iron stone I think. He's a bit portly this guy and none too tall, about 5' 6" actually though neither feature is too obvious in the pictures, especially now with his cloths on. One thing that really attracted me to this figure is his stance, shoulders held back giving a curve to his lower back, still relaxed and nothing dramatic about it but not arrow straight either.

Anyway, all the usual materials were used, resin and aluminum wire for the armature, built up with A+B putty. The bulk of final sculpting was done with MS though much of the face was finished out using A+B.

Jamie,
Per request a rear end view of this little man. Thanks for asking.

Gordy,
Thank you, I've always felt that there was a dearth of civilian figures in the market and that they are a sadly neglected subject. To my eye civilian figures can provide as much interest as military subjects as it is the human element that really interests me most. Even when reading military history my preference is for first person accounts rather than the usual tactical evaluations complete with unit involvement and all that. The WW 1 memoirs are the best example of the kind of thing I'm most interested in, 'Some Desperate Glory', 'Goodbye to All That', that sort if thing.

Thanks guys for looking, really appreciated.
Ray

I totally agree Ray - Cilians are as much imterest as military subjects (still love me Dwarves though)
Love the gentle 'tilt' of the head"

Hi Ray
Like the figure and thanks for showing the rear of the driver, I am still trying to get the hang of sculpting the folds and the drapery of cloth.
