Hi dear friends,
I finished the piece from Best Soldier. Sculpted by Antonio Zapatero and casted in metal it was a real pleasure to work it. I used acrylics and oil paints and for the breast armour I didn't used metallic paint at all. I just stained the polished metal with oil paints.
The whole saga how I got here is presented in this thread: http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/english-civil-war-officer.69503/
Hope you like it and let me know your thoughts.
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Beautifully painted Zeno. Excellent job on this figure. Very moody and characterful. The work on the armour is definitely on par with the ancients you have done.
I look forward to seeing this one on Sunday.

You are very welcome Chippy!
I found this method very simple and easy to control! I learned about this from Danilos book which I recommend to every fellow figure painter. It's very inspiring! (Danilo Cartacci - Painting Miniatures).
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Thanks a lot Brian! Much appreciated! (y)
I missed painting in oils and it was a real pleasure to use them again. I think it got "translated" somehow in the outcome of that tunic/heavy coat.
Cheers,
Zeno :)
