These are two of a set of three, all got golds and are by Gianfranco Speranza.
Meant to ask him if they were from paintings, I suspect they were.

They're beautiful figures. I believe they are English Civil War period personalities and were taken from portraits. ~Gary

Does anyone know what model image 47 is and who manufactures it?

It's a byzantine mounted hornisen form the emperors John A' Tsimiskis campaign against the Russians in north Bulgaria.The horseman is scratch and the horse is from Michael Roberts.The model awarded a bronze medal.

Euro 2009 query

Thank you for the great photos...can anybody tell me who painted pirate (or conquistador) in frame 55, and the roman in frame 60? Also, though not in this series of images, does anybody who know who sculpted the iwo jima vignette?
