A raffle of painted figures generously donated by award winning painters Hardy Tempest, Steve Walker ,Dave Maddox and other modelling friends of the late Roy Hunt will be held at this years Euro Militaire. Also included in the raffle is a reference book much sought after by armour enthusiasts , entitled “Funnies’ and kindly donated by members of the Welling Model Club. In addition there are five 75mm figure kits of a limited edition figure of 200 depicting a Drummer Dublin Volunteers 1779.

The raffle will take place at 3pm on the Sunday and all proceeds of this raffle will go to Roys family. Tickets will be available from the Welling Stand and are priced at £2 each ticket. There will also be ticket sellers canvassing the hall and we would request that as many people as possible take part in this most worthy cause. Tickets will be drawn by independent persons and assigned to figures as per a list available on the Welling stand.

Please see attached poster below or for more information contact Dave Maddox, via PM on this Forum or email [email protected]

Hi Dave,

I love the idea and I hope it will bring a lot for Roy`s family.

I´m not able to be at Euro, but I forward money to a friend to buy some tickets in my name.

Take care and much success,
Markus

Hi Guys

this is indeed a worthy initiative as Roy had 10 children and the moneys raised will go a long way for the kids.

Please support even if you can only buy a single ticket, Some great prizes to be had for £2.

I will certainly support the cause.

Well done to Dave and friends .

John

Wonderful initiative, I hope this brings in a lot of money for his family.
Unfortunately I will not be at Euro.

I am so proud to be involved in this venture for Roy's family. I wish it maximum success. Hardy

Dave and Hardy, I don't know if a 54mm figure from mine, would rank alongside any of yours in this raffle to raise as much money possible, but I am willing to donate 1 of mine if you say yes..........don't worry if your plans are "already set" I DO UNDERSTAND!!! I will be buying some tickets either or........

Ray.

Like Georges, I would like to help. Would someone contact me to let me send some money for tickets? I'm thinking Paypal would be the best way but I'd be open to suggestions and much appreciative for the help.

I have the same problem as George and Kevin. I don´t know someone who will visit the Euro and want to help. Is there a possibility to get tickets or can someone send me a PM and I tranfer the money for the tickets??

Ulrich

I would just like to say - thank you to you all for the support over the weekend. I was overwhelmed by the response for the raffle and the fact that we made so much for Pat and the kids. Most of all the fact that not everybody wanted the prizes, just to put money in the pot. Pat was too overwhelmed with the response when I took Roy’s figures back to her and gave her the money collected. The total collected through this was over £1050. I hope a few of you got to meet her on Saturday.

Dave
