Agreed. It is a classic scene and I mean that as both a positive and a negative. In a positive sense, it is everything a diorama ought to be: tight composition, well sculpted and painted, central focal point, different elevations. The negative: we seen it before, down to the two figures that look like Pegaso figures. That said I wasn't there, so I have no idea if there was anything more worthy of BoS. I know from the photos, there was a number of incredible pieces.Agreed. It was excellent.
My main beef with the best of show was that it wasn't anything we've not seen before many times. Just a bunch of Frenchmen cheering and waving flags. That's not to say that it wasn't top-notch painting and sculpting by two very talented modellers. Just nothing particularly original.
