I used to use black electrical tape.Cut to size, dip it in thinners for a few minutes, and voila!

Might work if it has a bit of body to it , at least it is the right width . Cheers .

I should have had that in my fly tying kit as I have everything else you could imagine and then some :)

Heres something I made earlier

Try Halfords Ron look at the pin striping tape, I've used it on 90mm and it looks fine, just rub the sticky with some acetone or similar to take the glue off

It needs to have a bit of body to it Steve so it can hold a Scabbard in mid air

Caveat emptor.

I have to second those with tips on other sources for metal foil. I'm not a Scot, but even I wouldn't pay for foil that I can scrounge from other sources. I once told my dentist about my hobby, and he gave me a bucket of lead foil uses to wrap X-ray blanks, from before he switched to a digital X-ray system. He couldn't throw it out, and to dispose of it the way the watermelons want it done, was prohibitively expense for the small amount. So he was glad to give it to me, for nothing.

Prost!

On the food front there are other dishes . If every woman in Italy looked like Sophia Loren Italy could have ruled the world . Oh Yeah they did 2000 years ago .
Wine bottles use to be a good source of lead foil for sword belts and horse reins just the right thickness, but since screw tops that's a source has dried up but thankfully it hasn't stopped me drinking (y) .

You need to buy more expensive wine Chippy , not the cheap shit with screw tops , and another tip; stick your thumb up the arse of the bottle , if its deep its quality and if almost flat then its vinegar ; you know the stuff that comes with M&S meal deals .
Try a bottle of Amerone it will cost you £28.00
But not many English will pay that esp the Yorkies :D

( stick your thumb up the arse of the bottle :eek:) I have never stuck my thumb up arse of anything other than a sprung leaking pipe when I cut the wrong pipe . Amerone is that a red or white as I have to share with my wife . Christmas is on it's way and a treat wouldn't be out of the way .

Is that a red or a white ! You bloody heathen :D next you will be asking should I put it in the fridge

Don't forget your PPE. I would quite happily juggle scalpels but as soon as I go within 6 feet of one of those trays I get cut to ribbons ;)
