Nope, I'm doing an online contest, but I'm looking for local contests to get my feet wet with. I'm currently working on the walls and tiles for my display. I have the tiles almost to the exact same color as the green hospital tiles I've seen in Pripyat photos. What about the walls though? I was thinking a light grey with some rust stains. That's just me though. I'm looking for the right amount of contrast.

I like the sounds of your color scheme for floor and walls. Also look forward to seeing some paint on the figure soon.

Good luck with the contest. Only show in MN I know of is in Rochester in February.

I made some further progress on the base tonight. Let me know what you think.

I think it's looking pretty good so far. I learned how to make the chipped/deteriorating wall effect by accident; I wasn't happy with a color so I took the mineral spirits to it. Turns out, it looked incredibly a lot like the pictures I've been using as a reference so I kept it that way.

Much to get done before April 3rd!

I've made further progress and am just about ready to call the base DONE. I just have to highlight the branches of the trees.

That's all for now. Hoping to get the basecoats done on the figure tonight.

Really turning out nice Jake! I like the extra weathering you've done since I saw it. Look forward to seeing some paint on the figure.

Made some additional progress on this piece tonight. I'm going for the KLMK camouflage used by Russian commandos during the 80's. The top will be painted a soiled/ dirty tan color.

I think it came out well. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
