I have a pile of old Osenat de Fontainebleau auction catalogues. They do a Napoleonic sale about twice a year and publish a full colour several hundred page glossy catalogue that would put many publishers to shame - letters, weapons, furniture, medals, decor, paintings, uniforms etc. A couple of of years ago they sold Napoleon's sword worn at Marengo with a reserve of half a million Euro as I recall. This has the top class stuff that multi-millionaires bid on (needless to say I have never bought anything). My friend at work calls their catalogue "antiques porn." Anyway they are great reference tools.
You can download pdfs of their past catalogues for the last few years here. http://www.osenat.fr/html/calendrier.jsp?t=p Not everyone is Napoleonic though. I just realised these pdfs were there. Superb resource!
