Hi,
Just letting those who are interested know that the Bayeux Tapestry is now available online as a reference. It is an ultra-high resolution image that shows every part of the Tapestry in exquisite detail. It's a little awkward to navigate (I think) but a wonderful online resource as it allows you to see right down to the stitching.

Here's the link if you are interested.

Excellent ref Gerry, thanks (it will replace my 50+ year old book version nicely).

For mainly later manuscript and monument sources I find this invaluable: Manuscript Miniatures: Home

Thanks for the new reference Neil. I'll take a look.

I have the David Wilson book on the Tapestry from Thames & Hudson. I like this online reference but I'll keep my book too :).
