Beautiful job on that Ralph. I like it a lot.

Sorry to hear about George. That's the worst thing about having four-legged family members, it's a terrible wrench when their time comes.

Cheers Steve,much appreciated.
And thanks about George.
It sure was a terrible wrench.I was starting to sink into a depression,so Paula and I decided straight away to look for a kitten. And luckily we found one quite soon.We went to look at her and we brought her home. Her name is Tabatha and she is completely black and has already decided she likes to sleep on my railway:)
Ralph.

I always felt it looked overdone until I was asked to make a Beaufighter for a friend last year. He wanted the full weathered look so I decided to learn how to do it. Along the way I started to look for photographic evidence and its surprising how grubby they get,and yes, how wide the panel lines actually look, especially on bare metal

and no, I'm not posting the beaufighter....
Looks good, Ralph , and very sorry for your loss
Thanks Merry, much appreciated, and thanks about George.

Welcome Tabatha - may she live long & prosper! Sounds like she wasted no time in making herself at home and letting you know who's the real boss!

Even though he'd had a great innings at 14 1/2, I think I shed more tears when my last dog (see avatar) went off to the Rainbow Bridge than I've shed over most humans I've known and who've passed on - up to and including my Dad. We've got two more now who are loved to bits, but I still get the occasional lump in the throat when I think of my old pal. Animals are amazing, no home is complete without at least one IMVHO.

But to get the thread back on track, did you use any aftermarket stuff on this build, or was if strictly OOB? I've got a Hasegawa F-14A in 1/48 that I'm planning to convert into an IRIAF bird slowly working its way up my "to do" pile. The F-14 is a lovely machine.

Strictly OOB,the only thing that I added, which is a must, was nose weight and some in the cockpit.
to stop it tail sitting.
Ralph.
