This is a piece I have enjoyed doing - I started and restarted her about 5 times but am finally happy enough to paint her She is part of my TRiplet of Father,Mother, Beardling
She is reading the communion passage to her husband taking communion
hence her holding the good book

(yes she was suppose to be left handed)

Ok!..bro,
who's been burning the midnight oil, two days ago we sat talking and looking at them,NOW!!..the here they appear all juiced up.
Agree with Gordy, like the gentle colours of the apron, mate l know how you feel about this wee WIP..

Thanks phil after friday I just had to get up and finish her but I got enthused and while waiting for paint to dry started on him and when I next looked both were finished
A bit sad though -these three took us 2 years and one bad allergy and now they are finished

Well, my friend, you haven't posted on PF for a while, I don't think. And it is
good to see your latest. And I think that is a fine idea of a triology of figures.

I liked the female with the holy book, but I will say that once I saw the
photos above of the lad with the wide brimmed hat, I really could see where
you were going with this trilogy and I am excited to see this thru
fruition. What ever the Sam Hill that woid means!

Also, I want you to know, that the Apostle Peter Bear still has that honored
place in my display cabinet, Ian. I will never forget that expression of

That is the young beardling - hence very little beard and not yet an ample beer belly
