Congratulations Luca on your new and Beautiful first release.

The Red Lancers is scheduled to get these and I will announce when Chuck has them in stock and ready to ship.

Luca, Congratulations, I like the how he turned out. I would not mind a paint mix or sbs on the tattoos. The colors look just as they should.~Gary

Hi Gary,

thx for the comment.

You can find the colors we used (mine in oil, and Luca's in acrylic) on the official web site.
I have also prepared a step by step about the painting including the tatoos and war paint. It will be soon on the web too.
But few days ago I crashed my 2 HD and lost all files in it.
By chance I've sent the SbS to Luca. I need him to send it to me back, so I can finish it.

Thank Gary and Dan. In my opinion Jean Paul Dana is a very talented painter, and all the appeal of that piece is due to his paintjob. A sample of his work is available here. Also, I would like to thank Guy and all the people who helped me.
I know that it's a very simple sculpt, but I really enjoyed all the process and I hope do it better with the next. I do not lack of enthusiasm and motivation, while about sculpting..., I hope to learn as fast I could... ;)

Grazie Rocco, mi sento entusiasmato come un ragazzino alle giostre...

Hola Tomas, la verdad es que no han sido muchos los que me han dado animo, asi que verte entre ellos me da mucha alegria, lo digo en serio. Referring to the casting issue we was talking about, finally I managed to do it by myself (the second set).
I was using the 2 min. Feropur PR55 from Feroca, really impressed by its quality. I was pouring only with gravity, having no pressure pot or vacuum chamber, but the final result seems good to me, only few imperfections (some air bubbles) on the bottom of the bust and under the first (on the top) circle of the pedestal, fixed with some putty.

Don't worry,Luca.Welcome to the Miniature World. ;)
Any problem that you will have with the casting, please tell me.
All the best.

Tomas

Wow, this is exactly what I have been looking for!
This kit is like a blank canvas. The possibilities are enormous.
And what is most exciting about this announcement is the use of the word "Series".
Sign me up for one of each. I'll be watching these.
Great work Luca and Jean Paul.

Hello,

yes John Gard you're right.
While I was painting this bust, I realised the enormous possibilities for painters.
You can freely express your fantasy and idéas. A lot of conbinaisons of tatooes and war or tribal paint is possible.
On other busts or figures, usually we dont surchage the figure with complex tatooes or paint. But here the bust is "blank" like you said.

I also proposed Luca(too late) to add a bag belt around one shoulder crossing the torso. It could be another full creation of Bedwork possibilities.
We may do it on a next release.

JP

please understand "Beadwork" instead of "Bedwork"

Mhm..., hey Jean Paul, is that a subliminal request for releasing a female version of this little guy...? Someone already points me out about the nipples (too big), if so the conversion will be very quick and easy  ;)

Ok, ok my friend, you know that it's a great effort for me to get serious, sorry but I couldnt resist...

Hi Luca,

you're idea is not so bad ;)

Because in all indian books I have, I noticed that indian females have very different tatooes than male's ones.

JP

Sorry John, but while laughing I clicked on the mouse which was just pointing on the Add button...
Ok, many thanks for your notes. Yes, if all goes right and the financial ruin will not strike my already precarious production budget..., it will be a good idea doing some naked bust mannequin of different ethnic.
I'm not a so talented sculptor, but I'll try it, just let me know if you would like to see them in male or female version... ;)

Thanks Phil, we are trying to do it as best we can, anyway I can assure you that I'm really enjoying all the process and some funny is just what we need to mantain the enthusiasm.

Hey Jean Paul, you know that Murphy guy, no ? Well, I had a link about some really interesting modern body painted female..., but his law is inexorable, so I cant find it now...

A more soft (now seriously, no offensive image there) like I have about modern body paint is this.

Hello again,
for those who are interested, just a quick update to let you know that aside Kiko of Carmina Hobbys and Chuck of The Red Lancers (the parcel is on the way...), another good friend, Matthew of El Greco Miniatures is stocking some kit of that little guy.
Matthew will be present at the "8th Annual East of England Model Show" show, organized by the "Greater Peterborough Model Club" (Peterborough Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough - 4 March 2006). More info here.
