Hi Denis. The ivory pistol-grips look perfectly colour-toned (I've got a thing for old ivory ), but shouldn't there be a central strip of the metal frame showing? Hate to lose the extra ivory, though ... And the only Colts I've ever seen up close fire caps!

Mike, thank you for the information but there is no central strip of the metal frame casted on the guns

I'm not sure I can do it well at this time, so I think I'll keep it like this

Hi Denis. How about trying a *very* sharply pointed pencil? Or the edge of a propelling pencil lead... they come as small as .5mm. The armour modelling clan often represent metal exposed by chipped/worn paint this way. Of course, in non-digitally-enlarged real life it probably won't even be visible.
