Modelers, sculptors, painters and collectors of Historical or Fantasy figures, The East Coast Figure Artist's Club will meet on Jan. 10th at The Hobby Bunker in Malden, MA from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. This non-profit club brings minaturists/artists of all levels together to share their work , to learn from each other and discuss what inspires us. We'll meet 4 to 6 times a year around the show schedules.
Our first meeting in Nov. was by all accounts very sucessful with artists attending who work on a wide variety of subjects from historical/military, scratch building ,fantasy/sci-fi based garage and plastic kits, wildlife and paleo sculpture.
I enjoy the online experience but as a career teacher I know that there is no substitute for meeting other artists in person , seeing their work and learning first hand how they bring their minatures to life.
Bring your works-in-progress, older pieces, reference materials or art materials that might be of interest to us. If you have ideas on how I might promote this club feel free to let me know.
