Okay, entries for April's Figure Of The Month are now closed and you can vote for your favourite in this poll.

The poll list just reflects the order in which they were posted up, not any order of preference or prominence!

This poll will close on the afternoon of Sunday 1st May (UK time).

I'd hoped we'd crack double figures in this first edition, and we made it to 12 so not a bad showing. Let's see if we can top 20 next month!

Go here to see the pieces before voting:

Thanks to all who participated in this one. There's some very nice work in there and I for one will have a hard time picking a favourite.

The thread to enter contributions for the May F.O.T.M. feature is now open in its own sticky thread, so feel free to start posting your pieces.

Just to recap on the system: The plan is for entries to run from (approximately) the 15th of the month until the 15th of the following month. In other words, the April edition would have normally run from 15th March until 15th April, with votes then opening until the end of the month.

But as we only started at the beginning of April, this first one has been shorter. Hoping to establish some sort of "rhythm" from May onwards.

Any questions, hit me up with a PM.

Just my opinion but I am not a fan of showing the votes by model through a poll. Rather discouraging for those who didn't do well. Also, it is possible to collude by seing how many votes a certain needs to overtake another and to encourage friends to stack the vote. I don't expect anyone would actually do that. I fir one fully trust the mods to tally the vote secretly and tell us who won.

I agree Colin that it would be better to be concealed, but unfortunately the set-up as it stands doesn't appear to allow concealed polls. Contact Pawel about it is on my "to do" list, I just haven't got round to it yet as have been too busy in the real world.

I very much doubt that collusion is going to be an issue here though. It's just a bit of fun on a modelling forum, not a presidential election in a tinpot banana republic. Or even a "serious" modelling competition. Nothing's really at stake.

Not a big deal. Just an observation. I also don't think we are competitive enough to care about fixing the results.
