You can now post your entries for June's FOTM feature here.

Before you do, please read the accompanying sticky which explains how it works:

http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/figure-of-the-month-please-read.77554/

The closing date for contributions is Sunday 19th June.

NOTE 1: This thread is intended ONLY for members' FOTM entries, NOT for comments. If you like something just click the "Like" button.

NOTE 2: So that folks can make a more informed choice when voting later, would all contributors please provide a bit of basic information about their piece. No need for a "chapter & verse" SBS explanation, but the following info would be useful: 1) Subject 2) Manufacturer 3) Scale 4) Any conversion or major scratching done. Thanks! (y)

Here's my entry for June.
It is a officer of the Black Watch 1854

My June entry. It's a pirate bust from Michael Roberts, sculpted by Gary Dombroski.
I added the earrings from solder. The bust is in acrylics and I used oils to replicate the wood effects on the base.

Hi Guys,

Here is my subject for June's little bit of fun ....

A laughing cavalier from Elan13 miniatures , sculpted by Rob Lane ,loved the face on this , resculpted all the feathers so they sat more naturally on the brim of the hat , the 2 "tokens" are based on originals used by the Kings supporters .

Painted in Acrylics and Water soluable Oils

Officer 42nd Regiment of Foot ( The Black Watch ) 1854

This is my entry for FOTM June.

This is Stormtroopers Officer of the 42nd Regt of Foot The Black Watch. 120mm painted in acrylics, This has been in my cabinet for a while but as my skills have improved a little I have dampened down the kilt a little along with some other tweaks.
Note It does not have any ground work as like my other posts it will be part of a bigger collection.

Looking at Marc's entry . I think it needs still more tweaks.

For your consideration... my offering for June...

This month is a 75mm Viking from FeR. The fig is painted with Scale75, Vallejo and DarkStar acrylics. My first real attempt at freehand striping... I'm happy with the breeks. In the foreground of the base is a rough monk's sandal made from Magic Sculpt.

I've titled this piece "Not in my hall!"... I tried to depict a pagan Norseman "refusing" the conversion attempt of a wandering monk.

Thanx for looking in

I would like to place an entry for figure of the month (June).
He is a Warrior Plains 250mm resin kit by Tartar Miniatures. Painted in acrylics and ink.
The only thing special that I added was foil strips for the tassels on his horn tips.

Hi

My entry for June, just finished is Young's Bomber command bust. I removed the moulded on goggles and scratch built a new pair from plastic card, lead foil, wire and putty. I also corrected the truncated para release to a fully round one. All of the versions I have seen painted have assumed he is wearing a Sidcot suit and have peen painted to represent a cotton material. It can't be a Sidcot and must be a leather Irwin suit as the sheepskin lining extends into the lapels. Sidcots had a removable sheepskin collar but no lining.

All in acrylics.

Cheers
