Any regular buyers / subscribers?

I recently purchased an issue of this digital publication just to see what it was like, but found it was heavily biased to the fantasy and gaming genres, neither of which I am especially interested in. And from what I can see this would appear to be generally the case. Am I correct in that assessment?

Cheap enough at the price though, and nicely produced. I'd probably buy more if it contained more historical stuff.

I think you are right but at the price it's still a good buy given reviews, announcements, artist profiles, transferable how-to articles etc.

I have the first 15 issues and yes you are right, it is heavily geared towards Fantasy stuff, with a smattering of historical every now and then. The mags are great for tips for painting (mainly acrylics) and scenic basing, reviews for new kits(with scores for different aspects), interviews and show reports.
I think that its one of the best mags available and the price is an added bonus. I have learnt more from these mags in tips for making bases than any other, that's historic and Fantasy!!!!!!
Very well worth the money in my opinion

I have a few issues. It's not really for historical models much. On the other hand it is an inexpensive publication. You can apply anything learned to your figures.

I quite like the mag and, I believe, have every issue. Yes, it is biased to fantasy and the on running game section is quite large but I started to get it when I was trying to get back into painting and I blame this magazine for me getting a foothold on the ladder of painting.

Painting techniques and, as mentioned above, groundwork apply to any figure. I would rather it get more historical but I suppose that like any magazine, they work with the materials they have. Maybe if more able historical painters/writers submitted articles then they may get more published?

I'm a big fan of the magazine, it is more fantasy/sci fi led, which I'm interested in, so its good for me.

I have spoken to Shane in the past and he's told me that the articles he's offered, reviews etc do seem to be from this market, rather than historical. To repeat what Graham says, they work with what they are supplied.

A great magazine and fantastic value.
