Hi all

I am looking to buy some tutorial type DVDs on figure painting, are there any good ones out there.

I have the Compendium Films one and the one by MXpressions but cannot find any others that deal fith historical figures, I know there are some that deal with fantasy figures which are of no interest to me, are there any others that cover historical figures and busts.

Thanks

Paul

Thanks for the link Hendryk.

I am sure I have seen reference to these before and it was said that the are not video tutorials but a large collection oof PDF Files on CD.

Yes Paul, video Tutorials are not on the CD`s, but Step by Step painting .

I have these CDs and I can say that they have helped me.

Cheers

Keep an eye on this link. The playlist button is above the Y of Last Cavalry on the TV set. Dave will keep adding videos. He might take requests too. :)

The Marion Ball YouTube is great one http://yt.cl.nr/TMDWfDkap0w, and there are MANY other YouTube videos also. I tried hunting down any historical DVD on painting figures, and came up with all the regulars. There are some by Miniature Mentor that can be applied to historical figures (acrylics) and then there is one by video workbench with Kevin Golden if you prefer oils, like I say I have them all. The best investment I ever made was to attend the PlanetFigure workshop. I learned more in 3, concentrated days than I would have watching 24 hours of video. My advice, if you can find a seminar - do it. Personally, I don't like using an airbrush, especially on a 54mm figure, so if you are a standard brush guy, look for a seminar that may apply.

Good Luck;
