Rhineland La Tene Celt 400 BC
200mm Resin
sculpted and painted by Shane Tarry

When Shane posted this bust recently I called John Lea of United Empire Miniatures and ask that he send me one when they were released. Shane Tarry has again brought out the best of his sculpting with this newest release.

The bust depicts a warrior of the early La Tene period in a uniquely Celtic version of the linothorax. The primary sources used in the creation of this bust were: Bronze beaked flagon, Glauberg, Germany, Barrow 1, grave 1 - Glauberg sandstone statue, Glauberg, Germany Berru helmets from various finds

Some close-ups will show Shane's attention to detail and the results of his research that Shane puts into a figure / bust before he begins.

The La Tene Celt will look great on the base below.

Hello and thanks for the review.

It's really a great bust - these little AND correct celt.
Have him already on my workbench after 10 min of cleaning and
priming it.

One definite advantage to living near Mr. Herrick....seeing this stuff in person! ;) Guys, this is one nice piece! It is VERY cleanly cast and the sculpting is superb. It's on my short list for sure!
