OUTSTANDING Jay! ;) (y) That is without a doubt some of the best painting that's been here at pF for quite some time! I am REALLY looking forward to seeing this in the flesh. Probaly some time soon after the New Year ;) .

Well Jim, just as soon as my head deflates from your comments I'll ask when we're gettin' togehter again! Thanks for the kind words. Don't know if you're gonna make Atlanta or not, but if you get the chance to come up for the Tulsa show, you, Guy and I will certainly have to get together.

Jay - Sorry I missed your post. I can only echo what all the others have said. An abosolutely beautiful piece! Of course, the eyes caught me first, and then as they perused the rest of the piece, the flesh tones, tartan, motifs look very excellent. I hope the bust I'm working on is half as good.

By the way, When is the Alanta Show?

Jay - Thanks for the inspiration. I may try to make Alanta. Unfortunately I wont be at Tulsa this year. I have an opportunity to go to Boston with my oldest daughter and her middle school at that exact same time, so I'm looking for another show to go to and it sounds like this is the one before I get real busy at work. I'll check with the wife. But I bet it will be OK.

Does the show have a website?

Inspiring work, Jay. Truly. One of the greatest pleasures I get from this hobby is viewing the museum-quality work of artisans such as yourself. Your work is certain study material for this student.

Thanks for inspiring us,

Kyle

Kyle,
you are far too kind! Thanks for the compliments. Part of what makes this fun is constantly stiving to improve ones self. If it wasn't for places like the Planet and the tallented people who take the time to share their experience, I think I would be lost! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Brad,
you're right! This would be perfect timing for you. Let's see ya out there! It's Atlanta's 30th year and they say they are trying to pull out all the stops. Guy and I will look for you there!
