Very good first figure Yves. Good flesh tone and eyes. Now concentrate some on the uniform with some dark shading in the botom of the folds and some highlighting on the top of the folds. You have done an excellent job on your first. Much much better than my first figure.....some 30 years ago.

I'm happy the post worked, and thanks for the advice, this figure is really my first real try with acrylics, Cray from colorado miniatures has helped a great deal....it s far from finished and like you say I need to work on shading my uniform.

I'm happy cause it s the first time I posted a pic on the net, I'm not quite good with the computer.

thanks for the help and will post a other pic, and hope the bust will be much improved..

again thanks for the time to respond.

Yves Laliberte. ;)

Hello Yves, I am sure more members will comment on your first figure as they can remember how important feedback was when they first started (hint...hint ...guys) When you post your next image on the forum, copy paste the one that starts with [img........this will post the pic directly to the forum. (it took me awhile to figure this all out too).......but above all.....keep at it...

Very good start there Yves. Surely you are in the right path. Just follow the advices and hints from the experts here and i'm sure that you will also see a big improvement to your figures.

Hello Yves,

Looking good. And please do what is said above. Darken the shadows, highlight te top off the wrinkles.
I am on my fifth figure and i learned so much here on the planet. Do the advises on your figure and you go with giant leaps forward.

I agree with the rest of the guys! It is a great start for sure. This is a super nice bust as well.

The flesh tones are looking pretty nice like others said, maybe add a couple more highlights, but that will come with more practise. The uniform basically looks to be basecoated, mix in some dark gray or black with the colors you used and create some shadows to create some depth and intrest, then add some highlights like previously stated and you will be well on your way!

Keep working on it and study pictures of the real thing as well as pictures of painted miniatures, find what you like and then try to copy it to your own figures! Before you know it you will blend all your 'favourites" together and you have created your own style.

Keepp working on it and show us your progress as you go!

Here is the image by the way,
