Dear all PF friends, I received my issue of Figurines today and decided to do a quick summary of it:

1. Articles

There is the third part of Guy Bibeyran's article on painting a mounted knight. He concentrates on the horse and armour in this article.

A Part 1 collector's article on 'Starlux Miniatures' - 1/32 scale figurines

Guy Bibeyran again with the painting of the spectaculor 90mm EMI Lansquenet figure. Wonderful result he got on this one.

Jean-Marie Daniel on the painting of Le Cimier's latest bust.

Adrian Bay on the conversion of a Pegaso Models 70mm running crusader into William Mareschall.

Eric Crayston brillant rendering of Pegaso Models 54mm Scissors Gladiator

Richard Poisson's colourful article on painting Andrea's 90mm Chinese Palace Guard.

2. Latest releases

Usual photos of latest releases - nice 54mm EVD release of Achielles based on the movie 'Troy'

Les Etains du Graal have released large scale figures from the Lord of the Rings - Gandalf, Uruk-Hai, Frodo & Aragorn. In October they will be releasing Gimli, Legolas, Gollum and Nazgul. I think these are large scale figures.

Soldiers advert showing latest proposed release in shadow. Their web site is listed www.soldiers.it Hardy you may well be interested in this given the large number of Soldiers kits you have painted!!!

3. Uniformology

Some colour plates of various uniforms

4. Shows

Ingolstadt 2004

Photos which stand out for me personally - Bruno Schmaling's conversion of Pegaso Models 54mm Norman Knight & Andrea Tessarini's Pegaso Models 54mm Celt Standard Bearer with severed heads on the standard.

Vieux Conde 2004

Lovely Pili Pili Geisha bust by Larissa Tamberg

CDOF 2004 (near Poiters)

Lovely 90mm Sorcerer by Alain Butaeye.

All in all an excellent issue - my French is patetic but I can get by very slowly but it is worth it even for the photos!!!! Well done Figurines.

Thanks - hope you find this of use.
