There was once a sculpting tutorial Cyril Roquelaine did for a DVD that was released more than a year ago - he sculpted this piece as a demonstration. Just a sailor I think, along with Hemingway theme, looks like they decided to put sculpture to good use.

It is what it is......a rather good bust of a Breton Fisherman.
Loads of character, and at a decent price.
If the next one was Popeye there's plenty of us who would buy it, one being me 149524.gif

it is a civil marine fisherman figurine.
she was in a dvd sculpture for facial expression.
but there will not popeye.
you can see the sculpture on this DVD and other video Cyril Roquelaine here

Well I guess that answered that! A fisherman! weird subject matter indeed!
Why's that weird Chris?

Bloody good sculpt I'd say. It may not be something you would buy, but Cyril is a very talented sculptor do you not agree? Weird it ain't.

Cracking sculpt Cyril!

All the best,
Jon.

It changes a lot from sometimes very boring military subjects.
You know, the ten thousand version of the Peiper Kampfgruppe or alike.
This hobby lacks some fresh air !!!!
Well done le marin Breton and really eager to see Popeye in the work !
Best,
Julien
