Not long ago I did some tech work for a dentist friend. Inexchange he let me dig through some of his surplus instruments. I got some terrific scrapers. Different size and shapes of round and oval tipped items. A couple of straight chisels. My favorite is a spoon shaped scraper with a working end that's about the size of pinhead. It leaves a very smooth area.

If you are twisting it, how do you get a nice uniform "twist" like that?

Brenton
Benton, I take a piece of wire and bend it in half. Take a drill and open up the chuck a little. Take the wire where the bend was made and insert it into the chuck and close. Get a pair of pliers and hold the open ends closed. Now pull the trigger (is that what it's called?) and the wire shold begin to twist. The longer your drill is on the more of a twist you'll get.~Gary

Gordy/Gary,

Thanks for that. Of course, the drill! I can't believe I didn't think of that before, even for hard wire such as paperclips. I'll get started this weekend on making a batch of twisted solder!
cheers

roughing in the legs.. it's a challenge to keep from making a "barbie" figure and have something realistic 5'4" and "thick" figured..

Gordy,
I see no evil here! So I'll speak no evil either! Nice work. I particularly like the monkeys! Is this not the same fiji girl that was posted as a new release for VLS? It seems a bit strange going back in time here..... ;)

Wonderfull work Gordy!!!

I love How you made her look more realistic, instead of a giving her a "fotomodel" boy. And the monkeys are just a fantastic idea!

Thanks for the sbs and keep up the great work!
