I finally got to make a start on the freedom fighter today after watching many people post fantastic versions of theirs.
So here is my humble attempt, I have only started working on the face and put a basecoat of red down, hair and moustache are only basecoat too.

Would love to know what you think.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks all,
after seeing this on the screen I think I need to make the eyes a little smaller.

Carl, thanks, not looking forward to the braid work.
How's yours coming along?

Today's effort, not much time to paint today so I played around with the braid work. This is the result after yesterdays trials and Marc's suggestions.
I think it's a lot better than yesterday.
Tips and comments always welcome.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hey Carl, thanks
I use reaper acrylics so I'm not sure of the actual colours but I started with a base coat of copper metallic paint then used amber gold to paint each twist in the braid, then did a wash of ancient bronze. I highlighted each twist with golden blonde and used leather brown for the shadows.
It still needs a little tidying up but I think the colour combination is about right.
I hope that's a little helpful.

Andrew.

Finished the braid work today, I'm quite happy with how it looks. Any suggestions are welcome, I'm always looking for ways to improve.

Cheers,
Andrew.
