Absolutely stunning work on the foot figures and that winged Hussar! Animation, pose, facial expression are all top notch-don’t usually do anything less than 75mm these days but this could make me think again...

I have often looked at winged hussars over the years, but never found one that actually "clicked" with me. This excellent vignette looks to be the answer.
May the gods grant me enough years and ability to enjoy all these wonderful offerings.:angelic:

Sounds like most of the initial batch are already spoken for :p (Hopefully I'll be able to get one too)

Love the poses, love the period, love the sculpting just wriggling about here like a little boy who's been told there's a present waiting for him if he's good :D

I think it's safe to say that Vladimir Danilov is the new sculpting "Super power" in our little universe.Of course he is not "new" at this as he's been active for years ,creating beautiful miniatures but saddly not getting the credit he deserved. All this has been set correctly now and we have a name to match for these absolute masterpieces. His talent in creating different personalities for each of his miniatures in a vignette, his tightly packed compositions that allow for crations of vignettes and dios straight from the box and above all his ability to tackle with individual idiosyncratic features are unmatched.Quoting Alan (Oldtaff) I wish too that I have enough time, courage and money to enjoy his creations in the years to come.

I think it's pretty obvious, Oda, that you and I sing from the same hymn sheet
when it comes to Volodya's work - we're fully committed...right?

According to Cheryl (Mrs Fogie) it's always been difficult to find me Birthday
and Christmas presents.......so ever since the 'Dog's Life' series appeared a few
years ago, a sort of unspoken arrangement has evolved. Whenever V produces
something new she hears the crash of my jaw hitting the floor and her problem
is resolved...very obliging of me -don't you think ?:)

Of course it means I have to wait patiently for the relevant day before I get to see
the things....but on the plus side, it gives me time to reduce the backlog.

Mike

Mike we are definitely on the same side here.I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to his works.I have not been able to persuade Nadia (Mrs Oda) to take a personal interest and she keeps thinking that clothes are the best birthday gift( :):cautious::() so I have to take care of things on my own.As stated before I am still many pieces behind but I am working my way to the top;).
