Hello everyone!
I am now painting the bust of Yuri Gagarin - the world's first cosmonaut. Once I saw a photo of the painting of this bust by artist John Chan - it was excellent! - and since then I have dreamed of painting this bust.

Manufacturer - 2dreamers - http://www.2dreamers.cz/
Scale: 1/9
Sculpt : Pavol Ovečka
I mainly used AK acrylic, and a little Polycolor acrylic, and a little PVA tempera. For the face, the base tone is mixed by me from several Polycolor colors .

To be continued....

The sculpt itself and your painting skills combine to make this look just like the real Yuri Gagarin. Superb work!

Thank you very much, Gary! I worked a little bit with the face of the bust with epoxy putty (in terms of sculpture) - the nose was a little too narrow - I made it wider; and the eyes were a little too close to each other - I put putty on the inside of the eyes - I made more widely spaced eyes. I wanted to achieve as much similarity as possible.
I hope I explain clearly - we tried very hard with the google translator :)
Best wishes!
