I bought the Cartacci book and son realised that this forum produces a wealth of information that covers more than one persons take on things.

First off I would like to thank you for your reply. I plan on using these forums extensively to improve my figure painting skills. However, I enjoy collecting books on the subject and would like to get my hands on this one. If for no other reason just inspiration. Any other books that can be recommended would also be appreciated. Again thanks.

I had a flip thru the Cartacci book at an IPMS show last month,thought it was pricey for what it was . although a nice collection of photos but not that informative, if books are what you like then its fine, but as Grant says you will get all the information you need here, Reference,photo's and advice of all sorts,
the Planet is like a huge library and full of helpful people and will save you a small fortune,you wont be long in building up a photo reference
